[Part I, cf. J. Fac. Sci., Shinshu Univ. 20, 131-144 (1985; Zbl 0604.22006).] Let \(\sigma\) be an automorphism of a Lie group \(G\) and \(G^ \sigma\) the fixed points of \(\sigma\). The aim is to determine the structure of the group \(G^ \sigma\) for the Lie groups of type \(E_ 7\).
