Translation of author's summary: We are using semi-classical analysis. Consider a perturbation \(p(x,hD_x)\) of \(-h^2\Delta\) that is analytic at infinity. Assume that on the energy surface \(E_0>0\) the critical points of the symbol \(p(x,\xi)\) form a subvariety \({\mathcal C}\) and that \(p\) is nondegenerate on the space orthogonal to \({\mathcal C}\). Utilizing results of Brummelhuis et al. and of Petkov and Zworski, we obtain an upper bound on the number of resonances on disks of radius \(\delta\) centered at \(E\) close to \(E_0\), where \(\delta\) satisfies \(Ch< \delta<1/C\) for some constant \(C>0\). Generalizing the trace formula of Sjöstrand that expresses the trace of a difference of operators as a function of resonances, we find a lower bound on the number of resonances close to \(E_0\).
