The author investigates the global existence and uniqueness results to the Cauchy problem of an important class of equations in the kinetic theory, the BGK equations with infinite energy. The Fokker-Planck operator, which describes the interaction of the gas molecules and the surrounding medium, is used in the equation as a perturbation operator. To establish the existence and uniqueness result to the Cauchy problem, the author gives some proper estimates of the macroscopic quantities.
