The aim of this work is to point out that all quasilinearization method (QLM) iterations reproduce the structure of the WKB series generating an infinite series of the WKB terms. It is shown that already the first QLM iteration, expressible in a closed integral form, yields better approximation than the usual WKB. In addition, it is proved that the exact quantization condition in any QLM iteration, including the first, leads to exact energies not only for the Coulomb and harmonic oscillator potentials but also for many other well known physical potential used in molecular and nuclear physics.
