This paper investigates the limit behavior of the Dedekind zeta functions for \(Re(s)>1/2\) in certain families of number fields. More precisely, for a number field \(K\) let \(D_K\) be the discriminant and \(g_K = \log \sqrt{|D_K|}\). Let \(\Phi_q(K)\) be the number of prime ideals in the ring of integers \(\mathcal{O}_K\) with norm \(q\), and \(\Phi_\mathbb{R}(K)\) and \(\Phi_\mathbb{C}(K)\) be respectively the number of real and complex places of \(K\). A family of pairwise non-isomorphic number fields \(\{K_i\}\) is called \textit{asymptotically exact} if the limits \(\phi_\alpha=\lim_{i\to \infty} \frac{\Phi_\alpha(K_i)}{g_{K_i}}\) exist for any \(\alpha\in\{\mathbb{R},\mathbb{C},2,3,4,5,7,9,\ldots\}\). For this family also the limit zeta function \(\zeta_{\{K_i\}}(s)=\prod_q (1-q^{-s})^{-\phi_q}\) is defined. The author proves that \[ \lim_{i\to\infty}\frac{\log\left((s-1)\zeta_{K_i}(s)\right)}{g_{K_i}}=\zeta_{\{K_i\}}(s) \] for asymptotically exact families \(\{K_i\}\) when \(Re(s)>1/2\), assuming that the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis (GRH) holds. The proof builds on [\textit{M. A. Tsfasman} and \textit{S. G. Vladuts}, Mosc. Math. J. 2, No. 2, 329--402 (2002; Zbl 1004.11037)] where the same question is considered for \(Re(s)>1\). The present result generalizes the Brauer-Siegel theorem which treats families satisfying \(\phi_\alpha=0\) for every \(\alpha\). Furthermore the author examines the elusive case \(s=1/2\) and assuming GRH he shows that \(\zeta_{\{K_i\}}(\frac 1 2)\) is an upper bound for the relevant limit. As a corollary from the main theorem a limit formula for Euler-Kronecker constants in asymptotically exact families is deduced.
