In this paper, the standard \(k\)-circulant matrix and some of its spectral properties due \textit{R. E. Cline} et al. [Linear Algebra Appl. 8, 25--33 (1974; Zbl 0273.15004)] are extended to a so-called circulant-like matrix. A special attention is given to the case for which the entries can be written as a function of Horadam, Fibonacci, Jacobsthal, and Pell numbers, and are arithmetic sequences.
