In 2001, \textit{R. W. Gosper} [Dev. Math. 4, 79--105 (2001; Zbl 1058.33017)] introduced many identities on the modular function \(\Pi_q\) defined by \[ q^{1/4} \prod_{n=1}^\infty \frac{(1-q^{2n})^2}{(1-q^{2n-1})^2}, \] and proposed some conjectures involving \(\Pi_q\). In this paper under review, the author employed some identities for the modular equations of degree five and a theta function identity due to the reviewer to confirm some conjectures of Gosper.
