Let \(\gamma\) run over the imaginary parts of the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta-function, and let \(\lambda =1/4+r^2\) run over the eigenvalues of the hyperbolic Laplacian acting on \(L^2(\Gamma \setminus H)\), where \(\Gamma\) denotes the modular group operating on the upper half-plane \(H\). The author is concerned with the associated zeta-functions \[ \mathfrak Z_{\alpha}(s) = \sum_{\gamma >0}\sin (\alpha \gamma)/\gamma^s, \quad Z_{\alpha}(s) = \sum_{r>0}\sin (\alpha r)/r^s, \quad(\alpha >0). \] Theorem 1 describes the asymptotic behaviour of the exponential sums associated with the numbers \(\gamma >0\) and \(r>0\), respectively. Theorem 2 says that \(Z_{\alpha}\) and \(\mathfrak Z_{\alpha}\) are entire functions of \(s\) for any \(\alpha >0\). (The proof of this result was recently published in Nagoya Math. J. 96, 167--174 (1984; Zbl 0554.10014)] (see the preceding review). Several corollaries contain interesting information on the special values of \(Z_{\alpha}\) and \(\mathfrak Z_{\alpha}\) at \(s=0\) and \(s=1\).
