The paper deals with the following parabolic problem (problem \(P_{i,j}(\varphi,\psi,\beta)\)) with \(L^{1}\) data: \[ \delta_{i}u'(t)-\text{div } a(x,Du)=\varphi(t)\quad\text{ in } Q:=(0,T)\times\Omega, \] \[ \delta_{j}u'(t)+ a(x,Du)\cdot\eta +\beta(u)\ni\psi(t) \text{ on }\Sigma:=(0,T)\times\partial\Omega, \] \[ \delta_{i}u(0,\cdot)=u_{0}\text{ in }\Omega, \] \[ \delta_{j}u(0,\cdot)=\overline{u}_{0}\text{ on }\partial\Omega, \] where \(i,j=0,1\), \((i,j)\neq(0,0)\), \(\delta_{0}=0\) and \(\delta_1=1\); \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^{N}\) with regular boundary \(\partial\Omega\), \(a:\Omega\times\mathbb{R}^{N}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{N}\) is a Carathéodory function satisfying the classical Leray-Lions conditions, \(\beta\) is a monotone graph in \(\mathbb{R}^{2}\) with closed domain and such that \(0\in \beta(0)\). The mentioned evolution problem is studied from the point of view of semigroup theory. The obtained generalized solution of the associated Cauchy problem is identified with the entropy solution of the problem \(P_{i,j}(\varphi,\psi,\beta)\) in the usual sense.
