Let \(A, B, C, D\in C[0,1]\) with \(D>0\), and let \(\mu>0\) be a parameter. The authors investigate the existence of positive solutions for the sixth-order differential system \[ -u^{(6)}+A(t)u^{(4)}+B(t)u^{(2)}+C(t)u=(D(t)+u)\varphi+f(t,u),\quad -\varphi''+\lambda\varphi=\mu u, \] \(u(0)=u(1)=u''(0)=u''(1)=u^{(4)}(0)=u^{(4)}(1)=0\), \(\varphi(0)=\varphi(1)=0\). Using a fixed point theorem and an operator spectral theorem they give some new existence results.
