    The authors deal with the uniqueness and existence of solutions for anisotropic parabolic equations of the type \[ \partial _tu+\text{div}A\left( u\right) -\sum\limits_{i,j=1}^d\partial _{x_ix_j}^2\beta _{ij}\left( u\right) =g,\,\text{in }Q \] with initial condition \[ u\left( 0,x\right) =u_0\left( x\right) ,\,\text{in }\Omega \] and the boundary condition \[ u\left( t,x\right) =u_b\left( t,x\right) ,\,\text{on }{\Sigma }, \] where: \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^d,Q=\left( 0,T\right) \times \Omega , {\Sigma }=\left( 0,T\right) \times \partial \Omega ,T>0\); \(A\left( u\right) =\left( A_1\left( u\right) ,...,A_d\left( u\right) \right) \) is the flux, with \(A_i\left( u\right) \in W_{loc}^{1,\infty }\left( \mathbb{R}\right) \); \(B\left( u\right) =\left( \beta _{ij}\left( u\right) \right) \) is the diffusion matrix with \(\beta _{ij}\left( u\right) \in W_{loc}^{1,\infty }\left( \mathbb{R}\right) \). After a brief introduction in Section 1, in Section 2 the authors give some notations and state the main comparison theorem for entropy solutions, which is proved in Section 3. In Section 4 the authors prove the existence of entropy solutions in the quasi-isotropic case.
