Quadratic functors are widely used in algebraic topology. So, it is always desirable to have a description of such functors. There is a close connection between these functors and quadratic modules and hence it is also important to have a good knowledge of quadratic modules. In the present paper, the author gives a complete description of finitely generated quadratic modules in terms of their projective presentations as well as of generators and relations. The main idea is to reduce the problem of classification of quadratic modules to the representations of bunches of chains.
