    The paper concerns the algebraic topology of the space of symplectic embeddings \(\mathrm{SympEmb}(E(a), E(b))\) between two symplectic ellipsoids, where for a given \(a\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \[ E(a)=\left\{(z_1,\dots,z_n)\in \mathbb{C}^n\,:\, \sum_{j=1}^n\frac{\pi\lvert z_j^2 \rvert}{a_j}\leq 1\right\}\, \] and the symplectic form is given by restriction of the standard one in \(\mathbb{C}^n\). For an element \(\theta\) in the \(n\)-dimensional torus \(T^n\), one defines a map \(U_{\theta}:\mathbb{C}^n\rightarrow \mathbb{C}^n\) by \(z_j \mapsto e^{i\theta_j}z_j\), \(1\leq j\leq n\). Thus, for every \(a_j<b_j\), \(1\leq j\leq n\), one defines the family of ellipsoid embeddings \(\Phi\) by restricting the domain of these maps. The main result is about the kernel and rank of the induced map \(\Phi_*\) on \(\mathbb{Z}/2\)-homology. More precisely, \begin{itemize} \item If, for \(1\leq j\leq n-1\), \(a_j<b_j<a_{j+1}\) and \(a_n<b_n<2a_{1}\), then \(\Phi_*\) is injective; \item If \(a\) and \(b\) are two nondecreasing sequences of real numbers satisfying \(a_n< b_1\), then \(\Phi_*\) has rank 1 in degree \(\leq 1\) and rank 0 otherwise. \end{itemize}
