Many authors studied the zeros of polynomials of best approximation (p.b.a.). [See \textit{H.-P. Blatt} and \textit{E. B. Saff}, J. Approximation Theory 46, 323-344 (1986; Zbl 0605.41026); \textit{W. Pleśniak}, Zesz. Nauk. Uniw. Jaqiellon. 580, Pr. Mat. 22, 29-35 (1981; Zbl 0481.30031); \textit{A. Wójcik}, Monatsh. Math. 105, 75-81 (1988; Zbl 0639.41005).] All these papers deal with one-variable functions. In the present paper, the authors give a multivariable version of the results obtained in the cited papers. Namely, they consider a given function \(f\) which is a uniform limit of analytic polynomials on a compact regular set \(E\subset\mathbb{C}^N\) and ``relate analytic extension properties of \(f\) to the location of the zeros of the best polynomial approximants to \(f\) in either the uniform norm on \(E\) or in appropriate \(L^q\) norms''.
