Let \(X\) and \(Y\) be Banach spaces. Let \(T:X\rightarrow Y\) be a closed densely defined linear operator with densely defined generalized inverse \(T^+\). For a linear operator \(\delta T\), set \(\tilde{T}=T+ \delta T\) and assume that \(D(T)\subset D(\delta T)\) and \(\delta T \) is \(T\)-bounded with \(T\)-bound \(<1\). Then the authors prove that the following statements are equivalent: (1) \(I_Y + \delta T T^+: D(T^+)\rightarrow D(T^+)\) is bijective. (2) The restriction of \(T^+\tilde{T}\) to the range \(R(T^+)\) of \(T^+\) is a bijection from \(R(T^+)\) onto itself. (3) \(D(T^+)=\tilde{T}R(T^+)+ N(T^+)\), \(\tilde{T}R(T^+)\cap N(T^+)=\{ 0 \}\) and \(N(\tilde{T})\cap R(T^+)=\{ 0 \}\). (Here, \(N(A)\) and \(R(A)\) denote, respectively, the null space and the range of the operator \(A\)). Furthermore, assume that one of the above statements is satisfied. Set \(G=T^+(I_Y+\delta T T^+)^{-1}\). Then the authors prove that the following conditions are equivalent: (1) \(R(\tilde{T})\cap N(T^+)=\{ 0\}\). (2) \(G=\tilde{T}^+\) with \(R(G)=R(T^+)\), \(N(G)=N(T^+)\). (3) \((I_Y+\delta T T^+)^{-1}\tilde{T}\) maps \(N(T)\) into \(R(T)\). (4) \((I_Y+\delta T T^+)^{-1}R(\tilde{T})=R(T)\). (5) \((I_X+T^+\delta T )^{-1}N(T)=N(\tilde{T})\).
