The authors apply the (elsewhere introduced) construction of a \(T\)-large domain to the case in which \((T,{\mathcal M})\) is a complete DVR. In such a situation, the associated \(T\)-large domain \(R\) is proved to be of the form \(R= T\cap V\), where \(V\) is a valuation domain of the field of fractions of \(T\). \(R\) has exactly two maximal ideals, but it can have any admissible Krull-dimension, and \(V\) cannot be complete. Finite rank torsion-free modules \(M\) over \(R\) are studied, under the hypothesis that \(M\) is Hausdorff in the \({\mathcal M}\)-adic topology: Some results, true for \(V\)-modules, are carried over to \(R\)-modules. Undecomposable torsion-free \(R\)-modules of any rank are proved to exist. Moreover, the authors produce, for any integer \(n>0\), a Hausdorff \(R\)-module \(N\) of rank greater then \(n\), with two non isomorphic direct decompositions into undecomposable summands.
