Let \(\Gamma\) be a compact \(d\)-set in \(\mathbb R^n\), \(0<d<n\). Then the first main result of the paper is given by \[ B^s_{pq} (\Gamma) \hookrightarrow W^{1,p} (\Gamma, \mu), \quad s>1, \;1<p< \infty, \;0<q \leq \infty, \] where \(W^{1,p} (\Gamma, \mu)\) are the Sobolev spaces according to Hajłasz, and \(B^s_{pq} (\Gamma)\) are Besov spaces on \(\Gamma\) as introduced by the reviewer (Theorem 2.1). Furthermore, the author deals with entropy numbers of compact embeddings between \(B\)-spaces on \(\Gamma\) and applies the outcome to study the distribution of eigenvalues of pseudodifferential operators complementing corresponding results by the reviewer.
