Given a word \(w=w(z_1,\dots,z_n)\) in a free group \(F\) with basis \(Z\) and another group \(G\), we may ask what we can say about the structure of \(G\) provided that the values of the evaluation \(w(g_1,\dots, g_n)\) of \(w\) with all possible elements \(g_1,\dots\), \(g_n\in G\) satisfy a certain condition. This research line has been very successful during the last years. The paper under review considers finite groups \(G\) in which all elements of \[ X=\{[a,b]^k\mid \text{\(a\), \(b\in G\), \(a\) and \(b\) of coprime orders, \(k\in\mathbb{Z}\)}\}, \] the powers of the so-called \(\delta_1^*\)-commutators, satisfy that if \(x\), \(y\in X\) have coprime orders, then the order of \(xy\) coincides with the products of the orders of \(x\) and \(y\). The main theorem of this paper shows that the last term of the lower central series \(G\) is nilpotent; in particular, \(G\) is soluble of Fitting height at most~\(2\).
