\textit{L. Wen} [Nonlinearity 15, No. 5, 1445--1469 (2002; Zbl 1011.37011)] obtained several equivalent conditions for the existence of dominated splittings for a \(C^1\)-diffeomorphism. The main result of the authors is an analog of Wen's result to the case of volume-preserving diffeomorphisms.
