Let \(M^m\) be an oriented \(m\)-manifold. In this paper, the authors define a coherent tangent bundle over \(M^m\), a frontal bundle over \(M^m\) and a front bundle over \(M^m\). A coherent tangent bundle is an intrinsic formulation of fronts or wave fronts. For a coherent tangent bundle over \(M^m\), they also define an \(A_2\)-singular point and the singular principal curvatures at a \(A_2\)-singular point. When \(m=2\) and the coherent tangent bundle comes from a front in \(3\)-manifold (resp.\ a map into \(2\)-manifold), an \(A_2\)-singular point corresponds to a cuspidal edge (resp.\ a fold). First, the authors prove the following realization theorems of frontal bundles. (1) For a given \(c\)-integrable frontal bundle over a simply connected manifold \(M^m\), there exists a frontal \(f:M^{m} \to N^{m+1}(c)\) such that the frontal bundle is isomorphic to the frontal bundle induced from \(f\). (2) For a given coherent tangent bundle over a simply connected domain \(M^m\) on \(\mathbb{R}^{m}\) with a certain equation, there exists a \(C^{\infty}\)-map \(f:M^{m} \to N^{m}(c)\) such that the coherent bundle is isomorphic to the coherent bundle induced from \(f\). Next, they investigate the following relationship between extrinsic curvature near \(A_2\)-singular points of front bundle and the second fundamental form, singular principal curvature. (3) If the extrinsic curvature of a front bundle over an oriented \(m\)-manifold is bounded, then the second fundamental form vanishes. (4) If the extrinsic curvature of a front bundle over an oriented \(m\)-manifold is non-negative, then the singular principal curvatures are non-positive.
