New implicit schemes for quasi-linear parabolic PDEs are proposed. These partial differential equations are provided with natural boundary conditions and of course with initial conditions. A typical application is the calculation of the dynamic spread of a combustion front. The proposed algorithm is related to spline compression methods using trigonometric splines. An extensive stability analysis establishing unconditional stability is given, and numerical examples are provided.
