The symmetries of the dimensionally reduced Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton-axion (EMDA) theory with \(p\) vector fields are studied. It is found that using the so-called extended elliptical-complex (EEC) function method one can construct a matrix Ernst-like potential for each \(p\). Then the EMDA-\(p\) motion equations can be written as EEC self-dual relation. In particular, for the case \(p=2\), the author establishes two Hauser-Ernst-type EEC linear systems and gives some explicit formulations of infinite-dimensional hidden symmetry transformations for the considered theory. The infinite-dimensional Lie algebra structure of these infinitely many symmetries is calculated out and is found to constitute the semidirect product of the Kac-Moody algebra and the Virasoro algebra. These results show that the EMDA-\(p\) theories under consideration possess very rich symmetry structures.
