A point symmetry of a differential equation is called standard if it does not leave all independent variables invariant. Linear PDEs possessing standard symmetries are considered in this paper. It is proved, that every solution of that PDE is invariant with respect some point symmetry. This result applies to the Fokker-Planck equation. It is shown, that new solutions, previously believed not to be classical, can be recovered by classical point symmetry reduction.
