The article contains a systematic study of a new class of ultradistribution Banach spaces that are invariant by translations and modulations. In particular, the stability of these spaces under Fourier transform and tensor products is discussed. Associated to each translation-modulation invariant Banach space, a new modulation space is defined. These new modulation spaces still enjoy good properties, but they can be very different from the classical modulation spaces. For example, let us mention that the modulation space associated with \(L^{p_1}({\mathbb R}^d)\widehat{\otimes}_\pi L^{p_2}({\mathbb R}^d)\), \(1 \leq p_2 \leq p_1 \leq 2\), is contained in \(L^1({\mathbb R}^d)\) and therefore differs from \(M^p({\mathbb R}^d)\) (Proposition 5.1). Banach spaces of ultradistribution that are translation invariant had already been considered by the authors in several papers, see, for instance, [Kyoto J. Math. 56, No. 2, 401--440 (2016; Zbl 1352.46039)].
