The classes of expansions of real numbers known as Oppenheim series and Oppenheim continued fractions include many of the classical expansions of real numbers into series or continued fractions. In addition, they share a number of probabilistic properties. In [Monatsh. Math., 187, 509-530 (2018; Zbl 1410.11108)], \textit{R. Giuliano} introduced a quantity, \(R_n\), associated with such an expansion, which in each special case is some relatively simple rational function in consecutive digits. Several probabilistic results are known about the behaviour of \(R_n\). The paper under review provides additional results of this kind. Conditions are derived under which \(R_n^{-1}\) converges in distribution, under which \(\sum_{k=1}^n R_k\) satisfies the central limit theorem, and under which the latter sum satisfies a large deviation principle. In the final section, the results are specialised to a plethora of special cases, where the concrete expression for \(R_n\) is given, depending on the expansion studied.
