This paper is concerned with analytic solutions for various openings embedded in an infinite piezoelectric plate subjected to mechanical and electrical static loads. The Green function solution is obtained by use of Lekhnitskii's formalism and the method of conformal mapping. The author studies the interaction between cracks and holes of various types. Some numerical results are presented for the stress and electric displacement intensity factors, and they are compared with the results obtained by the finite element method. The paper presents also an alternative static solution for examining the stress intensity factors in infinite piezoelectric plates.
