This paper deals with the second order neutral differential equation of the form \[ (r(t)z^{\prime }(t))^{\prime }+q(t)\left | x(\sigma (t))\right | ^{\gamma -1}x(\sigma (t))=0, \] where \(z(t):=x(t)+p(t)x(\tau (t)),~\gamma >1\) is a constant. Sufficients conditions for the oscillation of the solutions are obtained. Moreover, four examples are given to illustrate the results.
