The main purpose of this paper is to begin a systematic approach to the representation theory of deep matrix algebras. There are four major statements in this paper: 1. Determine necessary and sufficient conditions for a deep matrix action; 2. Define null modules; 3. Classify all general null modules; 4. Construct a family of natural modules for a deep matrix algebra.
