The paper under review is the continuation of \textit{F. Ferrández, P. Lucas} and \textit{M. A. Meroño} [Arch. Math. 68, No. 6, 520-528 (1997; Zbl 0881.53044)]. In this second part, they present their main results. In particular, they prove that the quadric representation of a hypersurface \(M^m_\nu\) immersed in a pseudo-Riemannian space form \(\overline{M}^{m+1}(k)\subset \mathbb{R}^{m+2}_s\) of non-zero constant curvature \(k\) satisfies the condition \(\widetilde{\Delta}\widetilde{H}=\lambda\widetilde{H}+\mu(\phi-\phi_0)\), where \(\lambda, \mu\in \mathbb{R}\) and \(\phi_0\in SA(m+2,s)\), if and only if \(M^m_\nu\) is either (i) minimal with shape operator having a double real eigenvalue, or (ii) a nonflat totally umbilical hypersurface; or (iii) a pseudo-Riemannian standard product with appropriate radii. As a consequence, in the two-dimensional case of surfaces in de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spaces, their result provides nice characterizations of minimal \(B\)-scrolls over null curves and minimal complex circles. On the other hand, the authors also obtain a characterization of pseudo-Riemannian submanifolds into \(\overline{M}^{m+1}(k)\subset \mathbb{R}^{m+2}_s\) whose quadric representation satisfies the condition \(\widetilde{\Delta}\widetilde{H}=\lambda\widetilde{H}\), where \(\lambda\) is a real constant. Besides other conditions on shape operators, they find that only two values of \(\lambda\) are permitted in order for that equation to hold.
