The author discusses semiconvergence of matrix splitting methods for solving iteratively singular linear systems. The concepts of quasi-regular and quasi-nonnegative splitting are introduced and equivalent conditions for the semiconvergence of the method are proved. The semiconvergence of the power method for solving a Markov chain is derived. The monotone convergence for quasi-nonnegative splitting is also discussed. The results obtained are illustrated by some examples.
