A modified version of the Clenshaw-Curtis quadrature scheme is applied to evaluate wavenumber integrals of the form \(\int^{b}_{a}F(x)\cos (rx)dx\) and \(\int^{b}_{a}F(x)J_ n(rx)dx\). It is shown to be much more efficient than other commonly used methods for the numerical evaluation of this type of integral. The method is applied to the calculation of the spectral response of a layered solid to a transient source.
