Perturbation of orthogonal Fourier expansions (Q1385388): Difference between revisions

The authors investigate a perturbation of a generalized Jacobi weight \(w\) on \([-1,1]\) by means of a BMO function \(b\) and the effect of this perturbation on the partial sums of the Fourier expansion in terms of the orthogonal polynomials for the weight function \(e^{2b(x)}w(x)\). They obtain estimates which hold uniformly in the truncation index \(n\) and for every \(b \in \text{BMO}\). They also consider similar problems for Bessel functions.
