The author considers boundary value problems of the form \[ \begin{aligned} -\Delta u&=\lambda u\pm \delta v+f(x,u,v)\quad\text{in }\Omega,\\ -\Delta v&=\delta u+\gamma v\pm g(x,u,v)\quad\text{in } \Omega,\\ & u|_{\partial\Omega}= 0= v|_{\partial\Omega},\end{aligned} \] under the following assumptions: \(\Omega\subset{\mathbb{R}}^N\) bounded smooth domain, \(\lambda\), \(\gamma\), \(\delta\) real numbers, \(H\in C^1(\overline\Omega\times{\mathbb{R}}^2,{\mathbb{R}})\) even with \((f,g)=\nabla H\) (\(\nabla\) gradient in \((u,v)\)), growth conditions. Assuming the ``+-sign'', he obtains a result stating the existence of infinitely many solutions of small energy in case of resonance. The statement for the other case is more involved. Roughly speaking, resonance at \(\infty\) and 0 together with conditions on the corresponding eigenspaces allow to guarantee infinitely many solutions. The proofs rely on variational methods; the energy functional is strongly indefinite in the second case. The abstract tools employed are due to Bartsch and Willem and Bartsch and Ding.
