Let \(\mathrm{A}_n\) be the periplectic Brauer algebra of degree \(n\), which is generated by the signed Temperley-Lieb algebra \(\mathrm{TL}^-\) and the symmetric group algebra \(\mathbb{C}S_n\), according to additional rules on their interaction inside \(\mathrm{A}_n\). In [\textit{K. Coulembier}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 117, No. 3, 441--482 (2018; Zbl 1417.17008)], periplectic Jucys-Murphy elements \(Y_1,\ldots, Y_n\) were defined, which generate a large commutative subalgebra of \(\mathrm{A}_n\). In this paper, the authors construct a sequence of irreducible representations of \(\mathrm{A}_n\) that have a basis on which the periplectic Jucys-Murphy elements all act as diagonal matrices. As representations for \(\mathbb{C}S_n\), these so-called calibrated representations are hook representations. To construct these representations, the authors use the degenerate affine periplectic Brauer algebra (see [\textit{C.-W. Chen} and \textit{Y.-N. Peng}, J. Algebra 501, 345--372 (2018; Zbl 1432.17034)]). They write formulas for the representing matrices in the basis of Jucys-Murphy eigenvectors and they completely describe the spectrum of these representations.
