There are precisely 24 inequivalent even unimodular lattices in dimension 24, called the Niemeier lattices. One of these is the celebrated Leech lattice, \(\Lambda_{24}\). Recently, \textit{C. Dong, H. Li, G. Mason} and \textit{S. P. Norton} [Ohio State Univ. Math. Res. Inst. Publ. 7, 27-42 (1998; Zbl 0946.17011), see also \textit{A. Bonnecaze} et al., Discrete Math. 205, 1-21 (1999; Zbl 1004.94025)] showed that every Niemeier lattice can be constructed from some \(Z_4\) code by Construction \(A\). This paper provides an explicit generator matrix of a Type II self-dual code \(C\) over \(Z_4\) such that \(A(C)=N\) and \(\sqrt{2}A(C) \subseteq \Lambda_{24}\), for every Niemeier lattice \(N\), where \(A(C)\) denotes the lattice obtained by Construction \(A\) from \(C\).
