This paper deals with the boundedness of fractional maximal operators in generalized Morrey spaces on the Heisenberg group. Given a ball \(B(g, r)=B_r \subset H_n\), the associated fractional maximal operator is defined by \[ M_{\alpha}=\sup_{r > 0} |B_r|^{-1+ \frac{\alpha}{Q}}\int_{B_r} |f|. \] The authors prove that given two functions \(\phi_1, \phi_2\) which satisfy the condition \[ \sup_{r <t<\infty} t^{\alpha - \frac{Q}{p}} ess\inf_{t <s < \infty} \phi_1(g,s)s^{\frac{Q}{p}} \leq C \phi_2(g,r), \] then \(M_{\alpha}\) is bounded from \(M_{p,\phi_1}(H_n)\) to \(M_{p,\phi_2}(H_n)\), where \(p>1\) and \(1/q=1/p - \alpha/Q\). The proof is straight-forward using the condition on \(\phi_1, \phi_2\). In the last section of this paper, the authors use their result to study the boundedness of some Schrödinger type operators.
