Let \(X\) be an IHS manifold and \(i:X\rightarrow X\) an isometric involution. \(i\) is a brane involution if it is (anti)holomorphic (anti)symplectic. The study of brane involutions on \(K3\) surfaces goes back to \textit{V. V. Nikulin} [Sov. Math., Dokl. 20, 1156--1158 (1979; Zbl 0445.10020); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 248, 1307--1309 (1979)], where Nikulin classifies holomorphic (anti)symplectic involutions on K3 surfaces and their fixed loci. More recently, \textit{S. Boissière et al.} [Kyoto J. Math. 56, No. 3, 465--499 (2016; Zbl 1375.14143)] classify holomorphic (anti)symplectic involutions and their fixed loci on IHS manifolds of type \(K3^{[2]}\). This article builds on these previous works by showing the following: if \(X\) is a projective \(K3\) or abelian surface, and \(i\) is an algebraic brane involution on \(X\) preserving a polarization \(H\) and a divisor \(D\) of \(X\), \(i\) induces a brane involution \(\hat{i}\) of the same type on the moduli space \(M_X(H,v)\) of \(H\)-stable sheaves on \(X\) with Mukai vector \(v=(r,D,s)\). This shows that algebraic brane involutions on a \(K3\) or abelian surface \(X\) naturally induce brane involutions of the same type on \(\mathrm{Hilb}^n(X)\) and \(\mathrm{Kum}^n(X)\). This is also applied to investigate the behaviour of the induced brane involutions on Fourier-Mukai partners. In the final part of the article, the authors study how to transform brane involutions under mirror symmetry. In particular, they show that, under some hypotheses on the IHS manifold \(X\) and its brane involution \(i\), it is possible to construct a brane involution \(\check{i}\) on the hyper-Kähler mirror \(Y\) of \(X\). Finally, concrete examples of mirror transformations of brane involutions are given in the case of \(K3\) surfaces and IHS manifolds of type \(K3^{[2]}\).
