The authors study the positivity, uncertainty principle and continuity in \(L^p\) spaces of a generalization of the spectrogram which uses two windows. The connections between the generalized spectrogram as a subclass of the Cohen class to the Rihaczek and Wigner representations is studied as well. An extension of Lieb estimates and the properties of the generalized spectrogram with respect to the positivity and \(L^p\) boundedness of the corresponding operators are also considered.
