The paper initially presents three kinds of displacement structure equations for confluent polynomial Vandermonde matrices with two different general recurrence structures. Then, it shows that no matter which of the displacement structure is chosen, all three definitions describe the same class of matrices, the class of confluent polynomial Vandermonde-like matrices. Two kinds of fast inversion formulas for confluent polynomial Vandermonde-like matrices are then given, and a relationship between confluent polynomial Vandermonde-like matrices and confluent polynomial Cauchy-like matrices is pointed out.
