The Lieb Concavity Theorem [\textit{E. H. Lieb}, Adv. Math. 11, 267--288 (1973; Zbl 0267.46055)], which answered an open problem of \textit{E. P. Wigner} and \textit{M. M. Yanase} [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 49, 910--918 (1963; Zbl 0128.14104); Can. J. Math. 16, 397--406 (1964; Zbl 0121.26203)], plays an important role in the field of matrix convexity. The paper under review presents a short and elegant proof to this seminal result, and to the Ando Convexity Theorem [\textit{T. Ando}, Linear Algebra Appl. 26, 203--241 (1979; Zbl 0495.15018)] as well. The key idea of the proofs is based on the properties of the operator \((\alpha,\beta)\)-power mean introduced here by the authors.
