A new method for constructing sets of integers having equal \(t\) th power sums is given. Using this method, some new results are derived concerning the Tarry-Escott problem, which is that of finding distinct sets of positive integers having equal sums of like powers. A good number of references are given to the latter problem, but none of recent occurrence.
