A pair of metric spaces \((X,d)\) and \((Y,d^{\prime})\) is said to have the Lipschitz extension property, if there exists a constant \(c>0\) such that for every Lipschitz function \(f:B\rightarrow Y\) (where \(B\) is a subset of \(X\)), there exists a Lipschitz extension \(F:X\rightarrow Y\) such that \(\text{Lip}\left( F\right) \leq c{\;}\text{Lip}\left( f\right) \), where \(\text{Lip}\left( f\right) \) (respectively, \(\text{Lip}\left( F\right) \)) denotes the Lipschitz constants of \(f\) (respectively, \(F\)). The main result of the paper is to show that, given a bounded uniformly continuous function \(f:X\rightarrow Y\) (where \(X\) and \(Y\) are as above) and \(\varepsilon>0,\) there exists a Lipschitz function \(f:X\rightarrow Y\) such that \(d^{\prime}\left( f\left( x\right) ,F\left( x\right) \right) <\varepsilon,\) for all \(x\in X\). At the last part of the paper it is shown that if \(X\) is a separable locally convex Fréchet space and \(f:X\rightarrow\mathbb{R}\) is a locally bounded convex function, then the set of points where \(f\) is differentiable is dense in\,\(X\).
