The author proves the existence of normal integral bases in certain number fields; the following result is a typical example: Let \(K_n\) be the field of \(p^{n+1}\)-th roots of unity, \(K_n^+\) its maximal real subfield, \(k_n\) the cyclic extension of degree \(p^n\) contained in \(K_n^+\). Then if \(a \in k_n^\times\) and \(K_n(a^{1/p})/K_n\) is tame, then \(K_n(a^{1/p})/K_n\) has a normal integral basis. Part I is to appear and for Part III see Zbl 0989.11062 below.
