Stationary information concerning Gibbs measure associated to a measurable discret dynamical system is usually obtained from topological pressure of the system and the so-called characteristic function. In order to get information which is not contained in the above mentioned elements, the weighted correlation function and the corresponding power spectrum (previously introduced by one of the authors) are investigated and an efficient method for their computation is given. As an application type I intermittent maps are considered.
