    Let T be a triangle, \(f: T\to R\), \(B_ n(f,T)=Bn(f)\) the Bernstein polynomial of degree n and \(\{\hat f{}_ n\}\) the net of Bézier of order n for f on T. Let \(V(f,T)=\int_{T}(f^ 2_ x+f^ 2_ y)^{1/2} dT\) and \(V_ 1(f,T)=\int_{T}(f^ 2_{xx}+2f^ 2_{xy}+f^ 2_{yy})^{1/2} dT.\) Then the following results hold: 1) For any \(n\geq 1\) we have \(V_ 1(B_ n(f),T)\leq V_ 1(\hat f_ n,T).\) 2) If \(\alpha\),\(\beta\),\(\gamma\) are the angles of T, then for each \(f\in C^ 2(T)\) we have \(V_ 1(B_ n(f),T)\leq CV_ 1(f,T)\) where \(C^{- 2}=\min \{a^ 2+b^ 2+c^ 2+2bc.\cos \alpha +2ac.\cos \beta +2ab.\cos \gamma:| a| +| b| +| c| =1\}\). 3) If \(U_{ijk}\) denote the triangles with the vertices \(((i+1)/n,j/n,k/n)\), \((i/n,(j+1)/n,k/n)\), \((i/n,j/n,(k+1)/n)\) i,j,k\(\geq 0\), \(i+j+k=1\), then we have \(V(B_ n(f),T)\leq 2n/(n+1)V(f_ n,U),\) where \(U=\cup \{U_{ijk}:i+j+k=1\}\).
