A ``susceptibles-infectives-susceptibles model'' is formulated with class-age dependent infectivity and \(n\) subpopulations. Under the appropriate threshold \((\rho\leq 1)\), the unique equilibrium is the disease-free equilibrium, which is globally stable when \(\rho<1\). Above the threshold \((\rho>1)\), there is an endemic equilibrium which is locally asymptotically stable under reasonable conditions.
