Rigidity for quasi-Möbius group actions (Q1424008): Difference between revisions

The authors prove that if a group acts by uniformly quasi-Möbius homeomorphisms on a compact Ahlfors \(n\)-regular space of topological dimension \(n\) such that the induced action on the space of distinct triples is cocompact, then the action is quasi-symmetrically conjugate to an action on the standard \(n\)-sphere \({S}^n\) by Möbius transformations. This theorem generalizes rigidity results for groups of Möbius transformations acting on a standard \(n\)-sphere by \textit{D.~Sullivan} [Bull. Am. Math. Soc., New Ser. 6, 57--73 (1982; Zbl 0489.58027)] and \textit{C.~Yue} [Ann. Math. (2) 143, 331--355 (1996; Zbl 0843.22019)], and its corollary --- \({H}^n\) case of the result by \textit{M.~Bourdon} [Publ. Math., Inst. Hautes Étud. Sci. 83, 95--104 (1996; Zbl 0883.53047)].
