Stratifying derived module categories (Q650853): Difference between revisions

The authors use the concept of recollement to obtain a stratification of the derived module category of a ring that may be regarded as an analogue of a composition series for groups and modules. They show that local rings, simple Artinian rings, indecomposable commutative rings and blocks of group algebras of finite groups are all derived simple.
