The authors study the following integral equation \[ x(t)=V\left(t,x(t),\int_0^{\mu_1(t)}V_1\left(t,s,x\left(\sigma_1(s)\right),\int_0^{\mu_2(s)}V_2\left(t,s,r,x\left(\sigma_2(r)\right)\right)\, dr\right)\, ds\right) \] \[ +\int_0^{\infty}F\left(t,s,x\left(\chi_1(s)\right),\hdots,x\left(\chi_q(s)\right),\int_0^{\mu_3(s)}F_1\left(t,s,r,x\left(\sigma_3(r)\right)\right)\, dr\right)\, ds. \] They study the existence of solution to the integral equation as well as conditions under which asymptotically stable solutions will exist to said equation. While the conditions imposed on the constituent elements of the integral equation under study are too numerous to mention here, essentially the authors impose sufficient regularity (e.g., pointwise continuity) on the constituent elements such as \(V_1\), \(V_2\), \(V\), and \(F\) above. The precise conditions are listed as conditions (A1)--(A7) in the paper. Finally, a numerical example is provided in order to explicate their results. All in all, the paper is clearly written and should be of interest to those whose interests intersect the existence of solution to integral equations and/or the application of fixed point theorems in the context of existence of solution to operator-type equations.
