The author studies the continued fraction algorithm and the infrastructure for quadratic function fields over finite fields of characteristic 2. The situation is similar to the odd characteristic case, but this does seem to be the most systematic treatment of these results. Timed computer computations using D. Shank's Giant-Step Baby-Step algorithm are presented.
